About Us
Peter Boland is the principal at The Breakaway CMO coaching and consulting, the host of The Breakaway CMO podcast, and an Executive Search Consultant, vetting CMO candidates for Fortune 500 companies.
Pete has spent 30 years climbing the corporate marketing ladder at Procter and Gamble, Microsoft, Charles Schwab, Visa, and BlackRock, with the pinnacle of his corporate career as the CMO at staffing giant Kelly Services. Along the way, Pete has also taught MBA students at Hult International Business School and UC Berkeley’s Haas School of Business, and advised and sat on boards of several early-stage start-ups from launch to successful exits.
Pete has built, re-built, and energized brands, and hired and inspired marketing teams to award-winning work, including winning national awards for campaigns and being recognized as a Financial Marketer of the Year.
